Abstract : Hydrochemical aspects of the alluvial aquifer in Wadi Uoranah-Al Abdiah area are discussed to show the quality and nature of groundwater. By characterizing groundwater types on the basis of major ions chemistry, a reasonable assessment of groundwater quality in relation to use for irrigation purpose has been made. The concentration of nitrogen compounds in the study of the alluvial aquifer in the area ranges from 0.0 to 303ppm (part per million). The reason for high concentration of nitrogen in the groundwater has been discussed.
